Dustin M. Shamburg, Esq.

Biography

Dustin M. Shamburg practices law in Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, and San Diego Counties. He graduated from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Criminal Justice in 2006.  In addition to his academic successes, he also earned a position as quarterback for the Valparaiso Beacons.

After graduating from Valparaiso University, Dustin M. Shamburg worked at a Colorado youth corrections facility that utilized cognitive-behavioral interventions to help their students develop skills to overcome aggression, disruptive behavior, and heal from traumatic events in their lives.  Using his academic background and athletic experience, Dustin M. Shamburg was a coach, counselor, and substitute teacher for the troubled youth at the facility. 

Dustin M. Shamburg’s legal career began when he attended Trinity Law School in Santa Ana, CA.  He, along with David J. Howell, enrolled in the first semester of the Mobile Legal Clinic.  The Mobile Legal Clinic is an offshoot of the Legal Clinic whose creation and administration was spearheaded by Bryan R. Kazarian.  Although the Legal Clinic is based out of the Orange County Rescue Mission, a transitional living facility for the homeless and their families, the approach of the Mobile Clinic was to seek out those in the community who needed legal assistance.  

Under the guidance and mentorship of his Professor, Bryan R. Kazarian, Dustin M. Shamburg traveled to areas of Santa Ana with the highest indigent population.  Some days he would provide legal advice and some days he would provide a listening ear to the unheard.   The real-world experience that he gained was invaluable and the relationship that he formed with his professor would provide him the opportunity to provide legal services to his community as a Criminal Defense Attorney a few years later.

Prior to graduating with a Juris Doctorate Degree in 2013 and being ranked in the top 5 of his graduating class, Dustin M. Shamburg also earned a position as Lead Articles Editor for Law Review and was later appointed Editor-in-Chief.   

After graduation and passing the California State Bar in 2013 and being sworn-in in 2014, Dustin M. Shamburg worked at two reputable Workers’ Compensation Defense Law Firms and stayed in the industry for a little under 3 years.  During this time, he deposed numerous applicants, handled countless case-in-chiefs, negotiated and litigated the resolution of liens, and gained trial experience.

Near the end of 2016 and into 2017, The Law Offices of Bryan R. Kazarian experienced tremendous growth as their reputation for zealous representation grew.  Bryan R. Kazarian, realizing that it was necessary to add a new attorney to their roster that was both competent and aggressive, sought out his prior student.  Feeling that his services were more valuable to his community in the area of criminal defense, Dustin M. Shamburg joined The Law Offices of Bryan R. Kazarian where his educational, personal and legal experience put him in a unique position to properly represent those in his community.
